Temple Gardens is an important part of Chinese classical gardens. In China, there are three kindstemples, they are Buddhist temple’s garden of han areas, the Tibetan Buddhist temple’s garden and theTheravada Buddhist temple’s garden. In this paper, the study mainly contain the Buddhist temple’sgarden of han areas and the Tibetan Buddhist temple’s garden. Beijing is a historical and cultural city,with a long religious and cultural history. Beijing’s Temple Gardens not only enriched the ancient capitalcity image, but also Inherited and perpetuated Beijing’s historical context. In this paper, the environmentof Beijing Temple Gardens are mainly start to build the various elements of the garden environment.They are the distribution, the siting, the architectural style and layout, the spatial processing, thedrop-mountain and water, plant selection and configuration, mood to create and so on. To make a moresystematic comparative study between the Buddhist temple’s garden of han areas and the TibetanBuddhist temple’s garden. Dig out the characteristics of the environment of the Beijing Temple Gardens,absorb the essence, to its dregs, and to make a expectations to play a certain significance for the futurecreation of the garden and the garden concept.From the point of view of the landscape,and combining theory with practice and based on collatingrelevant literature. To make a inspection and investigation with the existing Buddhist temple of hanareas and Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing, and through analyses their garden environment, finalconclusions are given as follows:(1)To create a garden environment, Beijing temples uses the landscape environment, buildinglayout, space mood to create, drop mountains and control of water, plants and other factors.(2)The Buddhist temple of han areas with the characteristics of the location in the naturallandscape and urban streets. In addition to the above two characteristics, the Tibetan Buddhist templewill be sited at the Royal Regency due to the political purposes.(3) The architectural value of Beijing temples lies in their functions,cultural connotations, and toshow the specific religious connotation. And to the layout of the building, not only the use of ZenTemple, or the projection of mandala, they are have a strong religious connotation, the pursuit of orderand balance Zen space.(4) On the treatment of space, Beijing temple through a certain space sequence formed a solemnBuddha. Also, through the organization of space to expand, the Buddhist temple of han areas Not onlyenriched the space, and also created a Zen garden environment. (5) The use of drop-mountain and water in the Buddhist temple of han areas is flexible, and in theTibetan Buddhist temple is atmosphere and natural(6) Choice of plants to reflect the religious connotations, and make a contribution to environmentshaping(7) Through space, plants, and Buddhist sketch, Beijing Temple gardens create different religiousmood.(8) The gardening practices of Beijing Temple gardens are make a valuable reference to thecontemporary garden creation.The work of re-examining and studying the existing Buddhist temple of han areas and TibetanBuddhist temple in Beijing, not only conducive to the study of Buddhist temple and its gardenenvironment, but also make a valuable reference with the modern landscape planning and design andcreation.
