The Double-Tower-Connected Structure is a new type of complex high-rise building structure which set up a linker between two towers, it not only facilitates contact between the two towers, and the building appearance more has its unique characteristics, these characteristics make it more and more popular with the architects, this brings an enormous challenge to structure analysis. This paper combining with a project example study the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance analysis of the double-tower-connected, to provide reference for the design and analysis of similar projects. This paper establish calculation models on a certain engineering example with SAP2000, through the period, modal participating mass ratios and mode of vibration study the dynamic performance of the double-tower-connected; By comparison with single tower and the double-tower-connected, analysis the effect of the linker on dynamic characteristics of the whole structure. And respectively by the modal analysis and response spectrum method, to study the effect of connection type, layer number, location and span of the linker on the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance. The main research results are as follows:(1) The double-tower-connected has to calculate more mode of vibration to achieve the standard. The linker reduces torsion stiffness of double-tower-connected.(2)The effect of connection type on the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance of the double-tower-connected is not obvious; The linker stiffness increases with increasing linker layers, thereby reducing the torsion effect of the double-tower-connected, but the top floor displacement will increase with the increase of the number of linker layers; When the linker located in the upper of the double-tower-connected is more advantageous to reduce the torsion effect, so in practical we’d better set the linker in the upper of the double-tower-connected; the increase of the span can lower the stiffness of the whole structure, so in practical we’d better choose the appropriate linker span.(3) The axial direction story drift curve appears inflection point on the location of the linker, but the linker has less effect on the story drift which perpendicular to the axial direction. The effect of the linker on the storey shear is not obvious.
