With the improvement of the integrated level about regional transport hub facilities in our country, the railway station and its’ adjacent area planning has become a hot topic research in the field of urban planning. This issue directly related to urban planning and urban development, so, railway station and adjacent areas scientific planning not only help to improve the transportation network capacity and efficiency of traffic travel, but also help to enhance the overall the value of urban function in this particular area. Based on the current status of the development about railway station and adjacent areas in our country, planning for collaborative research on this particular functional area has important practical significance. Basic part of the study is summarized the planning elements of the railway station and adjacent areas, secondly analysis the relationship between the elements to make a qualitative and quantitative analysis. Thereby providing a basis and reference data for future study.In this paper, the study on the interaction between the planning factors of the railway station and adjacent areas, within the fund project’s guidance framework of "Study on Synergetic Planning and Spatial Optimization of Urban Comprehensive Passenger Transportation Hub and Its Adjacent Area". Firstly, after search the document data, questionnaire survey and site visit survey, divided the planning elements into several categories which are scale, traffic location, functional properties, land use, road transport, public space, landscape environmental. Which are specifically include a total of 22 elements, they are body of the passenger railway station, the proportion of land in adjacent areas, floor area ratio, building density, road network structure, density of road network, transfer points distribution and so on. Secondly, this paper statistic and analyzes the data information of nine railway stations’ elements, and association analysis between these data elements. The result as a basic data for establish structural model. Finally, establish the system elements relation table from the results of data analysis combined with experts judgment result; establish a matrix according to the system elements relation table; at last, break down the matrix layer by layer to obtain a hierarchical relationship between various elements of the system.
