Switch is one of the key signal equipment which ensures the safety of train operation and its reliability will directly affect the safety and efficiency of the railway operation. So far, switch machine maintenances usually relays on the practical experience and professional knowledge of staff, which adopts regular or skylights maintenance. So it not only will leads to a lot of disadvantages such as low efficiency of fault analysis and fault location but also cannot find switch operation cycle fault in time.The change trend of the switch action current can reflect health status of switch. On basis of collating extensive literature, consulting site professionals and expert knowledge from expert, using statistical analysis of historical data for analysis and determine the alarm thresholds, and I establish a switch fault diagnosis system based on rules-based judgment and case-based reasoning to realize real-time monitoring switch state, fault location and give maintenance comments.In this paper, we mainly study the ZYJ7 speed-lift switch as the research object which is widely used and representative in speed line. Analyze the basic principle of switch control circuit and the common fault of switch; present construction aim and system function requirements of the switch fault system. In order to achieve this goal,system structure, function module and database will be designed in detail. The design will finally realize data processing, fault diagnosis, fault alarm and case library manager ect.The paper extracts characteristic by dividing speed-lift switch operating current into three sections and then determine switch fault current threshold through statistic of historical data and establish a relationship between the current curve and the fault phenomena. It forms fault diagnosis rules and proposed a rule-based system fault diagnosis technology and the combination of case-based reasoning. Using comparative analysis detected switch state and grey correlation degree of matching target case, and switch fault diagnosis system includes fault alarm and maintenance alerts, library management system case, historical fault data query and statistics and other functions.
