Railway freight transit period is one of the bottlenecks in the development of railway freight traffic, for which railway freight traffic has lost lots of customers. I n order to improve the competitiveness of the railway freight traffic, take the initiative to seize market, increase the income of the railway freight traffic, provide the better services to the customers, a reformation about railway freight traffic has been launched by china railway in 2013. Railway freight transit period is one of the key projects in the reformation. The consignment which are transported from the station of departure to the terminal always pass some marshalling stations on the way, the detention time of car in the marshalling stations on the way impacts railway freight transit period obviously, and one of the important factors of influencing the detention time of car in the marshalling stations is the car flow connection, the better car flow connection, the shorter detention time of car in the marshalling stations.(1) A in-depth analysis on the shortage and the reason of the railway freight transit period before the railway freight reformation was given in the paper. In order to seek the technical measures of guaranteeing the freight transit period in the Logistics enterprises and foreign railway, and learn the positive beneficial experience for reference, the analysis on this aspect was spread.(2) The analysis about the elements and influence factors of railway freight transit period was given in order to clarify the influence mechanism. The paper discuss the method of assigning the freight transit period to the links related by drawing on previous research conclusion. Then, regard the time mentioned above as a constraint to give a reference for worker in the station.(3) In order to determine the operation sequence of the train and guarantee the operation priority of the train whose freight transit period is tension, the method based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was discussed. Based on the work completed above, a model about the car flow connection of the marshalling stations was built. Compared with the traditional car flow connection model, the model built in the paper include the constraint about the max detention time of car which is given above. Besides, in order to guarantee the rationalization of the car flow connection, the paper transfer the trains priority for the vehicle’s weight, the higher the priority, the bigger the weight. At the same time, we set the objective function to maximum total weight.
