Automobile industry is one of pillar industries of industrial developed countries around the world. Domestic automobile industry has developed rapidly in recent years, many new requirements are put forward in the performance and technological level of the engine. From the view of technical point,the quality and efficiency in the development of automobile industry need more higher and higher. Shaft parts is important parts in vehicle power transmission system, and is one of the most important parts in the engine. With the rapid development of automobile industry and the internal combustion engine industry, the demand of automobile shaft parts is more and more big, the shaft parts processing technology and equipment is becoming more and more important. Axis’ machining accuracy、efficiency、flexibility and automation level directly affect the vehicle power transmission system, So in this paper, in order to satisfy the high efficiency grinding demand of typical parts in automotive industry, carry out the high efficiency grinding technology experiment researching, by optimizing the grinding condition and grinding process parameters, systematic study on the impact of changing grinding process parameters and conditions to the grinding performance (grinding force、grinding efficiency、surface roughness, etc.). In the basis of theory、experimental data, research and development the high efficiency and low damage grinding process, realizing the prediction of the work piece surface roughness. The main contributions of this dissertation are as follows:This dissertation analysis the theory of high efficiency grinding mechanism and the existing research methods. In order to research the impact of changing grinding process parameters and conditions to the grinding performance, this paper studied the testing and analysis of grinding force and heat through studying methods of force and heat determination, the design and facture of relational sensors and its characteristics. This paper designs the clamp type artificial thermocouple temperature sensor to test the temperature of cylindrical grinding arc, and then applied this equipment into engineering experiments.Experimental program of high-efficiency external cylindrical grinding was drawn up based on the user goals and the grinding conditions, and the test of grinding force and temperature was carried out using ultra-high-speed CNC cylindrical grinding machine. The grinding force is collected by the piezoelectric sensor which developed by Donghua university, while the grinding temperature is collected by the the self-made temperature sensor at the same time. The work piece surface roughness and surface residual stress are also tested and analyzed. Based on the affection of wheel speed, work piece feed rate and grinding depth on the grinding force, ratio of grinding force, the metal removal rate, grinding temperature, specific grinding energy as well as the surface roughness and other indicators, this paper also reveals the material removal mechanism in the high-efficiency grinding with the CBN Grinding Wheel.Optimization analysis the multiple factors which affecting the grinding quality evaluation indexes based on the grinding experiment of 20CrMnTi,further study on the optimization of grinding parameters criterion. Use traditional corundum grinding wheel and CBN grinding wheel proceed grinding experiments respectively, Compare the data, under the comprehensive consideration of grinding efficiency and grinding quality, analysis on what kind of grinding wheel’s grinding effect is better. What’s more, put forward some grinding process parameters optimization measures in order to provide the basis for realization of high efficiency grinding technology.Adopted RBF neural network to establish the prediction model of surface roughness of work piece,and using matlab to simulate, the simulation results show that the prediction model has high accuracy, and can provide reliable data for Surface roughness prediction research.
