Urban Waterfront Landscape Design Based On LID -Wendehe Park Design, Jilin Province

The city is the most densely populated areas of human activity. With the acceleration of urbanization, the ecological problems faced by urban cities are increasingly prominent, ranging from ecological damage and frequent ecological disasters to scarcity of water resources and serious pollution of urban water environment, which leads to the constant destruction ofnatural hydrological mechanism and cycle. These problems have already become a critical constraint in urban development. Rivers are the cradles of mankind, the urban waterfront landscape are popular activity spaces, but also the important research and practice of landscape design. Landscape design of modern urban waterfront contains a variety of content, is the most comprehensive> complex and challenging subject in landscape architecture. The research of waterfront space has been a long and enduring theme in the landscape architecture. In recent years, with the development of low impact development(LID) and stormwater management technology, there are many new contents in the research of waterfront space. The traditional technology and methods can no longer meet the demands of the urban sustainable development. At this time, the stormwater management based on LID is widely praised, because it can study and deal with the city and nature as a whole by interveneing the ecosystem uccessful, and advocated the combination and interaction between city and nature,which have become an effective way to solve the problems of urban water environment.This paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the LID techniques in urban waterfront landscape design.In addition,this paper summarizes and discuss the application method of LID, by analying the objectives and development strategy of the urban waterfront landscape design and refining the technology and strategy of LID,in order to guidance the design of waterfront landscape program. The author will take the design of Wendehe Park as a case, exploring how to design an urban waterfront landscape infrastructure park,and how to build a set of water conservancy, ecology, recreation, landscape and other functions in a body’s comprehensive waterfront park. The design aims to get maximum function use of river channel infrastructure, and at the same time, stimulate social benefit, ecological benefit, economic benefit,cultural benefits and other value of the park.
