Analyzing Natural Beauty Of Wood Materials In Modern Design Performance

Wood materials play an significant role in the development of human society. One of the most important reason is the beautiful joy of its color, shape, texture and smell brings. Nowadays, the application of wood as a renewable natural material in modern design becomes more and more popular. This paper put forward a new way of thinking for the modern design of how to make use of the renewable materials based on the natural property of wood and the application of natural materials in the modern design, combined with the anatomy of materials, graphic aesthetics, visual aesthetics, philosophy and many other theories and technology to understand and explore the beauty of wood natural materials in modern design.This paper is divided into five chapters:the first chapter "Introduction" discusses the background of research basis of beauty of wood materials; the second section mainly discuss the concept of wood and its characteristics, as well as a simple introduction into the applicational research of wood materials. The third chapter introduces the natural form of wood and its natural affinity from the perspective of aesthetic function of wood respectively; the fourth chapter demonstrates the detail of the application of wooden-material-beauty specific from five aspects of timber wood which are color, texture, shape, defect and smell. The fifth chapter is the analysis of my graduation design. And the sixth chapter is the conclusion of the study.
