For a long time, in the transformer manufacturing industry in our country, due to the lack of advanced methods in electromagnetic calculation and structural design, the calculation of short-circuit impedance is based on the traditional empirical formula. In terms of the phase shift rectifier transformer, its winding structure is complex and the error of the traditional empirical formula is relatively large and can’t meet the performance requirements of the design. In addition, in the structure of phase-shifting transformers. In addition, in the structure of phase-shifting transformers, most of the manufacturers adopt the structure type which after years of verified and very cautious in the improvement of the structure of the transformer, the structural of the phase-shifting transformer has not changed for many years. For the encapsulated dry-type transformer, the cost is high, once the design is not in conformity with the design requirements, the final rectification is very troublesome, and may even do scrap processing which increasing the transformer design cycle and design costs which would restrict the development of enterprises.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) Taking ZPSC-4800/3.3of dry-type phase-shifting transformer for high voltage frequency converter as an example, this paper elaborate the key steps in the design of the phase-shifting rectifier transformer, including the calculation of iron core, winding and impedance and the engineering calculation method of composite impedance is analyzed..(2)From the theoretical level, this paper discusses how to use the finite element method to solve the electromagnetic field in detail and gives the specific process of solving the impedance voltage by the energy method.(3)Establishing the Two dimensional plane symmetry model and compiling procedure with ANSYS software to calculate the composite impedance of the transformer-ZPSC-4800/3.3 and verify the simulation accuracy with the test data.(4) Using Magnet software to calculate the leakage magnetic field of three dimensional finite element of the phase-shifting rectifier transformer-ZPSC-4800/3.3,and verify the accuracy of the simulation.(5)For the low voltage side of the axial splitting structure encapsulating dry type phase shifting rectifier transformer. The end of the winding of the semi crossing impedance is often greater than the middle winding impedance, to solve the above problems, the traditional transformer structure was optimized and improved by using the software magnet, the results can well meet the design requirements from the point of view of simulation.
