In recent years, domestic and foreign cities have carried out the traditional tram operation, transformation, construction and research to meet the requirements of urban transport development. As a kind of solution to a new pattern of rail transit of urban public transportation, modern tram in domestic gradually gets attention and rapid development. Research on Modern trams, mainly is concentrated in theoretical research system overview, technical characteristics, and other aspects of planning and research, lacking the depth of operation control technology research. Therefore, simulation and research of modern tram vehicle system has become the emphasis in this article.This paper analyzes modern tram signal system, and refer to other sophisticated train control system concept, based on simulation platform of tram operator dispatching system, analyzes the functional requirements of vehicle simulation system, puts forward structural design, designs and implements modern tram vehicle simulation system, tests and verifies typical functions of the simulation system. Specific contents are as follows:Firstly, expound the research background, the meaning, the status, and the research contents.Secondly, this paper summarizes the system composition of modern tram, analyzes its operational scenario, introduces the concept of Siemens tram, discusses the characteristics, the composition and the function of the signal system, puts forward the vehicle simulation system in this paper.Then, analyze functional requirements of the vehicle simulation system, design the overall structure and function modules, including the driving interface, speed monitoring, speed positioning, information receiving and processing module. And analyze the logical relationship between the system function modules and data flow by using the data flow diagram. On this basis, design and implement the divided function modules of the vehicle simulation system.Finally, on the PC, set up a system test environment, based on the line data of a line, test and verify the typical function modules, including driving interface, the train speed positioning, speed monitoring module and so on. The results indicate the function modules of vehicle simulation system can run well, which illustrates the implementation of the system has certain validity, adequacy, and reliability, has achieved the desired effect. The vehicle simulation system can provide reference and basis for the study of signal system, and promote the development of modern trams.
