As the state of the urban rail transit infrastructure construction investments have been increased, compared to the subway and light rail which have the characteristics of high cost and long period. Modern trams have the advantages of flexible clean environmental protection,and also could alleviate the problem of urban public traffic congestion. Modern trams in national development prospect are very broad.So the operation of the tram driver level has higher requirements, how to make these trained driver more safe and fast learning the trams, these need to find a safe, science and technology, efficient and practical simulated driving device. It was used to simulate the modern tram driver in the actual operating conditions of operation. The use of virtual reality technology could simulate a real environment, through the virtual environment and the real operating platform, completed the driver’s driving training.This thesis has introduced the modern tram driving simulation system structure and functions, analyzed the operation process of modern trams.With the modern trams driving simulation mathematical model as the foundation, we need write modern tram simulated driving dynamics simulation software. The wayside operation control system is responsible for the supervision and control of the train, so the tram track side operation control environment system need modeling simulation, and used virtual reality technology to make visual animation. In accordance with the real modern trams driver operation platform design the driving environment completely. It finally showed the overall layout of the simulated driving system. The completion of thesis the main contents and conclusions are as follows:1:According the thesis, we have designed the interface of the platform and analyzed the function of each system.2:The thesis has analyzed the streetcars running state and the stress distribution. The traction calculation mathematical model and the model of motion process is established, and compared with the calculation model, using the tram improved elemental point model,combined with the optimal control strategy, the use of VB PC software for simulating dynamics simulation.3:Tram track side operation control simulation system have simulated the control environment of urban rail transit signal equipment status and basic operational scenarios. We have finished the modeling of the signal equipment, including the signal, the turnout, the track and the station. We have wrote a graphical yard figure display, and simulated the operation of single or multiple train. We have analyzed the principle of the MA calculation, and then designed the process of the MA calculation in this paper. Using the tool of Labview write bridge operation interface communicates with communication interface and interlock module.It was used for train running monitor and faculty members to send relevant instruction to students. And according to the command of the control system operation, we could control system for the track side equipment. The TCP/IP communication protocol was simulated.4:Visual simulation system firstly has been introduced the need visual simulation software 3ds Max and VRP. Then put the 3ds Max modeling scene import VRP,and control the driving simulation in virtual reality visual. It would finally done visual animation to display.This thesis relied on the trams dynamics simulation, the track side operation control environment modeling and simulation trams visual animation to show trolley driving simulation system, adopt good man-machine interface, could reflect the skills of operators in the process of driving simulation intuitively and examination results.
