For the number of the end-stage renal disease(end-stage renal disease, ESRD) increasing, more people need the treatment of peritoneal dialysis. However, the domestic peritoneal dialysis machine has a gap with foreign products. This paper designs a peritoneal dialysis machine. It’s not only improve the treatment effect and can enhance the quality of family life for patients. The machine includes mechanical systems and electrical systems, so the which the mechanical system consists of heating systems, weighing systems, disposable cassette piping systems, the auxiliary power source and so on; electrical parts includes the electrical control hardware and the programs.The mechanical system includes,Firstly, select and design of the power source of the machine and determine to use the gravity as the main way; the pump as reserve power; design heating system, dialysis fluid metering system, control values in dialysate, the piping system, and the overall stents; Secondly, design the auxiliary power source of the transmission system and the test clamping device; Finally, focuses on the design the disposable cartridge, using of SolidWorks build the 3D model,then taking the SolidWorks Flow Simulation conduct simulation analysis, analysis the add bags and the last bags supply, dialysate inject, exhaust the post dialysis by the corresponding pressure and velocity distribution, we more care about the related parameters of dialysate injection and waste discharge in two processes for the feasibility of the whole disposable cassettes pipeline.In electrical control section includes the electrical control schematics, layout and wiring diagrams, the main electrical components of hardware design. Software designed of interface in the PC by LabVIEW and programming in Siemens PLC, pilot valve program, programming a temperature sensor and a gravity sensor analog conversion process based on OPC technology between LabVIEW and Siemens PLC data communications, each recording dialysis after the patient finish the dialysis.In this paper,we take some experiments in our experimental prototype,including the feasibility of the whole disposable cassettes pipeline; the control of the dialysis sub-process.
