Study On Traffic Safety And Management Of City Electric Bicycle

Nowadays the city residents increasingly trend to choose electrical bicycle for commute, which is convenient, efficient and environmentally-friendly. However, the widely utilization of city electrical bicycle gives rise in the increasing number and aggravating damages of accidents, the unqualified technology and off-test product of bicycles. With the increasing of city electrical bicycle amount, the management and safety of city electrical bicycle have become serious problems in many cities. Therefore, the research on the electrical bicycle city traffic safety and management strategy is of great significance.Firstly, the thesis makes deep analysis in the technical standards, vehicle characteristics, the user characteristics and the traffic flow of the city electrical bicycle, by means of questionnaire and traffic flow survey. The disturbance caused by the electrical bicycle to the road users is indicated detailed. The actuality, characteristics and reasons of electrical bicycle are analyzed to facility the theoretical basis of traffic management measures.Then, quantitative analysis of electrical bicycle driving safety area is conducted in view of safety while the electrical bicycles’occupancy of city road temporal-spatial resource is studied via time-space analysis method. The thesis points out why and how the electrical bicycle contributes to the bad impact on the city transport and society management.Finally, the development strategy of city electrical bicycle is studied by the aid of management TOWS analysis model.The thesis compares the existing management strategy domestic with that of abroad and defines the position and necessity of electrical bicycles in the city transport in consideration of the transport condition in our country. Then some administration regulations related to city electrical bicycle management and some advice concerning traffic management are proposed.
