Firstly, the concrete filled steel tube arch bridge application status and development situation are summarized in this paper, the research background and the main research work of the project are stated. The three dimensional finite element model of the entire bridge, which is a 30m+70m+30m span concrete filled steel tube arch-continuous beam bridge, is developed using general commercial sofware MIDAS/CIVIL 2012, and the finite element simulation of various parts of the bridge is detailed described. Using this model, forcs of the bridge are analyzed detailedly under dead load, live load, system temperature and girder temperature gradient in operational phase by this model, stresses and disformations of the bridge are analyzed and checked according to the most unfavorable load combination. Finally, the paper uses the PSC module of MIDAS/CIVIL 2012 conducting detailed calculation based on specifications on the continuous beam of the bridge.Therefore, the static characteristics of concrete filled steel tube arch-continuous beam structure are comprehensively understanded. Calculation and analysis complex bridge method by finite element software are mastered.
