The construction of high-speed railway in China has shown a trend of rapid development, which also reveals the advantages such as fastness, large capacity and so on, attracting more and more passengers. As a vital link of train operating planning, stop scheduling deserves sufficient attention. During stop scheduling, railway apartments have to consider not only the demands of individual stations, but also the overall operating fees. Proper stop schedules can bring services better and more convenient, and even the better utilization of railway infrastructures, which is of great significance to high-speed railway transportation organization in China. This paper started with the analyzation of foreign high-speed railways with the examples of Japanese, French, and German, then studied exclusively on the stop schedules on Wuhan-Guangzhou and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railways, and summarized characteristics from various perspectives.Secondly this paper made a detailed description of high-speed railway stop scheduling and theories about node importance. This paper also included types and combination modes of stop scheduling, discussing the impact factors of stop scheduling, and analyzed the principles and process of stop scheduling. This paper then provided the concept of node importance, and analyzed its impact factors from node passenger flow, characteristics of passenger flow, and railway network structure, and built up evaluation system of node importance using AHP, and made the evaluation with GRAP.According to above analyzation, minimizing passenger time loss, train travelling distance emptied, and total stops of each train, constraining node service frequency, O-D service frequency, passenger flow, stops of single trains, this paper built up multi-objective optimization model for high-speed railway stop scheduling. And combined based on linear weight, this model was conversed into a single-objective model, and solved using GA.Using the aforementioned model, this paper did a statistical study of various quotas of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway, and graded the importance of passenger transport nodes, which was finally solved using MATLAB programming. According to the account of results analysis, new scheduling excels the old one.
