With the support of our government, more and more waste tires ground into powder as asphalt modifier is used in road works engineering. Because the mixture in the road can have better performance, it includes high temperature stability, low temperature cracking resistance, water stability, skid resistance and abrasion resistance. In this paper, we will research and evaluate the decay of storage performance of rubber modified asphalt, and the compaction difficulties of rubber modified asphalt mixture. After the study, we expect to be able to solve rubber modified asphalt storage and compaction control of mixture in the rubber modified asphalt pavement construction.In this paper, it summarized the research status of rubber powder used in the road, and formulated the test plan. It studied the performance of rubber modified asphalt at first, and then extended to mix it.First, it tested the performance index value in decay process of rubber modified asphalt under different processing temperatures. By decay law, it selected that the rubber modified asphalt can achieve better performance at the processing temperature of 180℃. We should put it into use as soon as possible, and the storage time of rubber modified asphalt should not exceed 22 hours.Then it selected five kinds of gradation type of rubber modified asphalt mixture, included AC-13C、SMA-13、AR-AC13、AC-13F and Superpave-13. The study was start from volume parameters of mixture. Then it discussed the selective of gradation of rubber modified asphalt mixture and the pavement performance of this. To do this, we got that the gradation of AC-13C also can get better results in rubber modified asphalt pavement.According to the difference of mixture with the different gradation, it studied the limit rolling temperature of the five kinds of gradation type of rubber modified asphalt mixture. It can know that the limit rolling temperature have the difference by the different types of gradation or asphalt. Then it can be determined whether the rolling of the mixture. Integrated with all gradations of rubber modified asphalt mixture resilience, it could know that the steel wheel of static load roller will get the better results in the initial rolling. Based on these results, we summed up the rolling process, and it is conducive for the road construction.
