Performance Assessment Of The Rubber Powder Modified Asphalt And Mixture And Application In Extension Project Of Tangjin Expressway

Along with the rapid development of domestic economy,highway network has been vigorously developed by our country,due to the asphalt pavement material as excellent performance,construction speed,easy maintenance,asphalt materials have been mainly selected in the pavement material.At the same time,suitable for use in the improvement of rubber modified asphalt construction engineering application,many engineering problems have gradually emerged,and the severe overloading pavement serious fatigue damage is widespread application,a lot of asphalt material in highway engineering is still a lack of detail with specific standards and methods.Taking the actual construction project of the highway network in Tianjin as an example,the technical evaluation of crumb rubber modified asphalt is mostly based on the standard control of Tianjin municipal engineering bureau.The engineering practice has proved that this standard in 5? and 25? ductility penetration for evaluation of crumb rubber modified asphalt at low temperature performance and high temperature performance when the repetition did not meet the engineering requirements,and prone to error,and can not reflect the performance of rubber powder modified asphalt is good,seriously restricting Chinese senior highway network the development of engineering and construction.In this paper,in view of the applicability of the modified asphalt in the construction of the project,the performance mechanism of the modified asphalt in pavement application is analyzed and discussed,and the indexes of the modified asphalt are compared in a horizontal way,and the indexes suitable for the modified asphalt are found.In combination with a large number of laboratory experiments and field tests in the experimental section of the expansion project of the Tang Jin expressway,the application of rubber powder to the asphalt modification technology is improved and innovates.The comparison between the mixture of modified asphalt mixture of rubber powder and petroleum asphalt mixture and SBS I-D modified asphalt mixture shows that the performance of SBS I-D modified asphalt mixture and rubber powder modified asphalt mixture has little difference,but the cost of SBS I-D modified asphalt is higher.Therefore,the use of rubber powder modified asphalt is the most economical choice.The research results have been successfully applied to the road laying project in the extension project of the Tangjin Expressway and achieved good results.
