Sports venues buildings, which is aimed to give service to physical exercise, usually have longer span and greater space. Since they can be classified as large span space structure. Also they have features, such as lively, unique and novelty, in architectural image. Many sports venues buildings adopted steel and concrete composite structure. The whole structure consists of RC frame structure as bottom part and steel truss roof, and the bottom structure and steel roof are connected through concrete corbels on under frame columns. In the design progress of our country, the RC frame structure is simulated by PKPM software and the steel roof substructure is approximately handled as steel beam. There have always been reaction difference under load between actual whole structural model and discrete model. In order to search more rational design method, based on practical engineering, the static load performance, dynamic load performance, seismic performance and comfort level analysis was carried out on the discrete steel roof structure and whole structure model. With comparing the results, some conclusions have been obtained.(1) In independent analysis on steel roof structure, the displacement of the roof is smaller than that in whole structure analysis, and the stiffness of the whole structure is larger than roof structure.(2) The natural vibration period of the discrete roof structure is larger than the whole structure.(3) With regard to vibration comfort level analysis on bleachers, the peak acceleration is0.065m/s2 and the peak root-mean-square acceleration is 0.372 m/s2. The acceleration results have been in the range of floor slab and foot bridge.
