Crankshaft is one of the most important parts of diesel engine, its task is to convert the reciprocating movement of the piston rotary motion, and the output power.. XD6113 models for supercharged diesel engine cylinder diameter, in the early in the process of using the market the crankshaft fracture failure, the failure of an average mileage of 100000 kilometers, the crankshaft fracture position had occurred in the crankshaft crank pin. This article through to the fault of the crankshaft has carried on the back to field analysis, by using the conventional physical and chemical inspection of fracture site, analyse the material composition of the crankshaft, and the methods of finite element stress analysis was carried out on the crankshaft, the reason for crankshaft fracture of crank pin has carried on the comprehensive analysis, the results show that because the XD6113 models of detonation pressure is too high, and the design of the crankshaft in smaller size compared with the same type, the safety factor of crankshaft reserve is insufficient, lead to the crankshaft in the process of using the fatigue fracture failure. In order to strengthen the cranksh- aft fatigue strength, this article through widening thickening of the crankshaft, enlargingthe crank fillet radius of the crank and reduce engine detonation pressure method is improved, and perfected the crankshaft manufacture process, increase the crankshaft surface quenching layer thickness, improvement of the crankshaft surface strength, eventually improve the crankshaft fatigue strength. After fatigue test, the improved obviously improve the crankshaft fatigue strength. In order to verify the improvement effect, to improve the tracking of crankshaft are installed on the market do after verification,, suggests that effective improvement. In this paper, the analysis of the crankshaft fracture improvement considering the size, production process optimization, the use of the user, and so on and so forth, are comprehensively expounds the improving methods of fracture failure, for future similar failure analysis is of great realistic significance.
