Scanning probe microscopy(SPM) is generally referred to as the scanning tunneling microscope, and it is based on the ne w probe microscope(AFM and laser force microscopy LFM, magnetic force microscopy MFM, etc.), that is a kind of SPM used to analyze the microstructure of material surface. It is highly integrated with many high technologies, such as the mechanical processing technology, the quantum tunneling theory, automatic control theory, photoelectric induction principle, signal detection and high resolution graphics processing technology and principle."Labour desire be good the things must first of its profits", in view of the heat of the materials science at present, especially the rapid development of the field of nano materials, surface of high precision analysis instruments needs more urgent. The goal of this paper is under a certain budget cost, to build a high stability, high accuracy, can be used in the atmospheric environment of complete STM system. Therefore, the main work of this paper includes the following:(1) according to the inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric materials, and the full analysis of the STM field within a few mainstream which is on the basis of piezoelectric motor, we design the patent, that is innovative, simple structure, step by step and stable inertial piezoelectric motor structure. Moreover we buy the material and make it into an object, and write the patents and papers through the test of the inertial margin of stepper motor, load capacity, and the experimental results of error analysis theory.(2) we design and fabricate a preamplifier with high magnification. Specifically, we design and build a two stage amplifier as our preamplifier, where the pre amplifier of the system uses the high performance amplifier of TI OPA627 as the main component.(3) According to the characteristics of STM system which is sensitive to external vibration, we use metal stents and four thick springs with same stiffness coefficient to set up a secondary suspension system.(4)According to the design of inertial piezoelectric motor size and the size of the preamplifier, we designed and produced a high rigidity, high stability of the lens body structure, guarantee the stability of the scanning probe scanning at the same time. this structure can effectively block the effects of outside noise and multipath motor control signals to weak tunnel current.(5) According to the working principle of independent design the inertial motor, we write the rough step, fine approximation, and scanning imaging procedures based on Labview.
