| Events space is a concept not form of space. This article started with the new spatial phenomenon in Japanese New-Prominent Architects’ works. By using the conception of Events Space raised by Bernard Tschumi and combining the expression of events in Japanese new-prominent architects’s spatial philosophy, this article interpreted the events space of Japanese New-Prominent Architects.The first three parts of this article is literature review. The first chapter is the backgroud and base of research. Recent research of Japanese architects and Events Space is summarized, and research methods and framwork is determined in this part. Japanese architecture’s succession and main thought are discussed in the second chapter.The major Japanese architects and works are defined. The topic of Event Space is rasied due to the Japanese new spatial phenomenon. The third chapter is about the concept of Events Space.The research of Events Space is divided into two dimensions, which are Events Subject and Events Setting. The exploration of Events Space of Japanese Architects are summarized in this chapter.At last, research of space is defined to the three layers, which are Space Thought, Space Operation and Space Performance, on the basis of classic architecture space theory.The following three parts interpreted the two dimensions of Events Space which are Events Subject and Events Setting on three layers of spatial cognition. The main part of research of this article is constituted by the exploration of expression of Events Space by Japanese New-Prominent Architects. The study of this three chapters is also corresponding with the three character, which are Otherness, Abiogeny and Openness of Events Space.The last part of this article is rasied the practical significance of Events Space, and also rethink the spatial cognition and architectural actuality. |
