In recent years, with the increasing maturity of distributed generation manufacturing technology, distributed generation access to network on a large scale, which depending on covering less, cleaning, flexible. However, due to the volatility and intermittent characteristics of distributed generation, its accessing to network makes the difference between peaks and valleys of load increase and the operation stability of system decrease. With the development of intelligent grid, interactivity between grid and user gradually increased, the volatility of distributed generation can be suppressed by demand response which improving system security and economy. Therefore, to mitigate the adverse effects of distributed generation accessing to network, taking demand-side resources into account to participate in the system operation, rational planning of distributed generation type, installation location, and capacity can effectively improve the utilization efficiency of distributed generation, so as to achieve the purpose of meeting future load growth and delaying grid investment.This paper considering the load growth combined with demand response specific measures proposes the method of distributed generation planning considering demand response. First, through the analysis of demand response measures mechanism, this paper establishes demand response mathematical model selected direct load control as measures. Secondly, in order to determine the distributed generation type, location and capacity, the model of distributed generation planning considering demand response was established, wherein the target function contains distributed generation investment costs, network losses cost, demand response cost, reliability cost and purchase cost savings after considering the direct load control and distributed generation access to network, and constraints contain flow constraints, distributed generation capacity constraints and demand response load constraints. Finally, using improved PSO to solve the model of distributed generation planning, given solving processes and using MATLAB prepared a planning process.Through simulating the IEEE-33 node distribution network, using the proposed method rational program of distributed generation access location, type and capacity was obtained. At the same time, compared two distribution generation planning programs which consider or not consider demand response, analysis results find that considering demand response plan can effectively improve the load curve, reduce investment costs to improve the economy, and in the case of certain load level, when PV capacity is 20% of the total distributed generation capacity, the best economic plan can be obtained.
