In recent years, as China’s industrial development, a large number of motor and complete sets of electrical equipment is applied to the production and life. But with matching of relay protection device is not mature enough, use process exposed a series of problems and poor sensitivity to set up complex, low degree of intelligence and protection action slow, resulting in fault occurs when many protection device intervention is not timely, cause damage to equipment or switch the class trip, to factories and enterprises bring huge losses. Motor protection device abroad although the technology is mature, but the purchase price is high, strong confidentiality, can only be used in important local sensitive areas, cannot achieve universal application. This paper carried out research on motor protection device.Due to hardware or technical limitations, many of the early proposed protection algorithm is too simple, cannot make reliable protective devices protection equipment. This paper summarizes the common fault diagnosis algorithm, and for its deficiencies. The integration of a set to be able to accurately determine the overload, short circuit, leakage current, grounding fault scheme. And on the basis of the theory, design of microcomputer protection device.In this paper, the selection of LPC2119 is based on embedded ARM7TDMI-SCPU technology, which has the advantages of fast operation speed, low power consumption, stable operation and so on, which provides a reliable hardware foundation for the protection device, μC / OS II operating platform, which is widely used in OS, is transplanted on the LPC2119 to realize the optimization of the performance. At the same time to protect the device to join the real-time communication function, the use of Modbus field bus communication protocol, to complete all the protection device real-time information collection, easy maintenance personnel unified monitoring equipment operating conditions.In the last stage, the current generator is connected to the protection device, and the action of the fault current protection device is simulated. The results show that the protective action is stable and reliable.
