With the wide-range application of the grid structure, the damage and the collapse of the grid structure happen frequently which are caused by the improper design or the change of the operating requirement or the load or the aging of the materials, that it has great practical significance to carry out detection and appraisal and reinforcement on the grid structure. The grid structure design software that are in use now are mainly developed to design the grid structure. That means that this software are not applied to detection and analysis. Meanwhile, if it is possible to carry out reinforcement on the grid structures which do not have enough bearing capacity after finish the detection and appraisal to increase durability of the grid structures, it will have great social value.This article is based on the reconstruction project of gas stations of the grid structures of the China National Petroleum Corporation, Shandong Branch to carry out research. To craft the space grid analysis program JKYSTS1.0 based on the finite element software ANSYS with the APDL language which aims at the pyramid space grid structures; Meanwhile, put forward the reinforcement technology of the grid structures of the sticking steel pipe. Also, the numerical analysis model that aims at this reinforcement technology is set up through the finite element software ANSYS to proof the viability of the reinforcement technology. Besides, some analysis of variable parameters are carried out to demonstrate the effect of every parameter on the reinforcement technology. The results show that:(1) The space grid analysis program JKYSTS1.0 has efficient and convenient modeling function and good post processing function.(2) The reinforcement technology of the grid structures of the sticking steel pipe can efficiently improve the original axial rod bearing capacity and initial stiffness.(3) By the comparative analysis of the variable parameters, it is easily known that the longer of the bond length is and the thicker of the sticking steel pipe is, the better of the reinforcement effect is.
