With the rapid development of economy in our country, the new construction are springing up like mushrooms. In early stage, construction standards and specifications are not perfect as well as building codes and related industry standards. With the improvement of production technology and equipment, most functions of the buildings has been unable to meet current requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to carry on a safety inspection to its original structure. According to the result of inspection, we can put forward the corresponding strengthening scheme to ensure the safety of the structure in the follow-up life.In this paper, we take the technological transformation of a building as an example, which was used to place the production machine of tea polyphenols. In order to estimate the seismic capacity of the building after change of housing load caused by the transformation of the equipment, a detection and identification to the building are necessary. According to the conclusion of that, model and analysis the structure layout and load layout of the transformation of the building using SATWE module of a structure design software called PKPM to know the internal force of beam and column and reinforcement condition. After that, check if the actual reinforcement situation is enough for the building seismic capacity according to the original design drawing. Later, use PKPM to analysis the mechanical properties and deformation of the building with new seismic capacity to find components which cannot meet the stress requirements and put forward the reinforcement to reinforce. Then, using JDJG(identification and reinforcement) module of PKPM to analysis the whole stress with the reinforced components. It is proved that the reinforcement scheme of the whole structure is the feasibility and safety. Finally, we use ANSYS to establish the frame structure of finite element model, analysis the displacement and internal force of the frame of the reinforced components under static load, then analysis modal and seismic time history of the structure. Through the analysis of the response of structure to earthquake action, we check the stress characteristics of the structure under earthquake and evaluate the strengthening of the overall structure of the seismic level.
