With the development of society and economy, the high quality serviceof electricity utilization has been paid more and more attention. Therefore, distribution automation technology which could improve the quality of electric energy has become the current focus of attention.Under the background of smart grid, the power supply reliability of urban power grid is increasing, and the grid structure is becoming mature, distribution automation research work of the State Grid Corporation has been carried out in some province, the vast rural areas will become the object of the next phase of distribution network automation. This paper takes Suzhou rural power company in Anhui province as research example, designed the area distribution automation scheme.Firstly, the geographical and economic situation about the region of Suzhou rural power company is introduced. According to the voltage grade, the important equipment and related quotas of the power grid is listed one by one, the overall situation of power grid and communication network is analyzed,the Current situation of distribution network in jurisdictions and pilot area is mainly analyzed, the existing problems is pointed outif put distribution network automationinto practice.Secondly, the overall scheme for distribution automation about the Suzhou rural power company is designed combined with the demand analysis, a detailed elaboration of master station architecture, functionality and performance, feeder automation scheme, terminal scheme is given.Finally, according to the designed the overall structure of the distribution automation and the realization of the function, the main station software and hardware configuration, a grid transformation plan are proposed. The overall investment in distribution automation are estimated, the benefit of project implementation is analyzed.A suitable design scheme of Suzhou electric power distribution automation is proposed in this paper, provide a certain basis for the implementation of the distribution network automation for our own company, it may can play a certain reference role for other rural distribution automation construction.
