With The Research And Implementation Of Intelligent Communication Devices In The Grid Terminal Site

With the enlargement of the scale of power system, the traditional telecommunication equipment used in distribution remote terminal stage can't meet the demand of distribution automation system. Based on analyzing the difficulty to realize distribution automation system and analyzing the telecontrol communication technology and protocols of power distribution system, it is pointed out: after embedded many distribution telecontrol protocols, the terminal field intelligent communication equipment can use multi protocols to transmit the data that show the running situation of power system to many host computers and receive the telecontrol and remote adjust commands that come from the monitor and control host computers in distribution net. By this way, the control net is formed.In this paper, the main topic is the field intelligent communication equipment that worked as a terminal unit. At the lower stage, the field intelligent communication equipment can be linked to all kinds of power distribution terminal units including monitor and control equipments, intelligent recloser controllers, FTUs, TTUs, DTUs and other high voltage and super high voltage comprehensive protecting equipments imported from other countries. At the up stage, the field intelligent communication equipment can be linked to 1 or 2 host computers that can not only be local monitor computers but also be the former communication computers in power dispatch system. The distribution system constructed by the field intelligent communication equipment is open and flexible. The implementation of field intelligent communication equipment is deeply discussed and its application in distribution automation system is presented. Results show that the filed intelligent communication equipment can perform perfectly even under very harsh environment.
