Gear transmission is the most widely used in mechanical transmission components; it can be passed the two axis’rotary motion. Circular gear transmission is the most widely used in the industry and main realizes the implementation ratio transmission. But in some special agencies, such as automatic agencies which need to make transmission ratio changed according to the requirement, so that the traditional Circular gear would be difficult to meet the requirements of such transmission gear, we found the non-circular gear. Circular gear is a special case of non-circular gear, circular gear pitch curve is round, pitch curve of non-circular gear is not round, so you can think that non-circular gear is changed by circular gear. Gear transmission has the high efficiency and stable transmission; CAM can realize variable speed drive and easy to control, however the non-circular gear have the advantages of both gears and CAM at the same time, so the non-circular gear is a kind of integration of mechanical components. Compared with traditional CAM and connecting rod speed change ratio, the non-circular gear has the incomparable advantages It is the characteristics of the non-circular gear in kinematics and geometry that can meet the specific requirements of the transmission so that non circular gears are widely used in many machines. In this paper, the main research of the non-circular gear is mainly based on the higher order elliptical gears. This paper firstly introduces the development of the non-circular gear at home and abroad, According to the meshing principle of the non-circular gear, the mathematical model of the high order elliptical gear pitch curve is established according to the different design parameters. First of all, using the programming calculation function of MATLAB, the basic parameters of the high order elliptical gears are programmed, and the check of bump and undercut; And then using the AutoCAD two development software to draw the curve of the high order elliptical gears; At last, the tooth profile is drawn in CAXA software, Import into Solid Works to stretch into a three-dimensional model. Same with the standard circular gear, the same is also used in modern production of Modified non-circular gear, In this paper, and then introduces the modification principle of non-circular gear, Finally finished this two kinds of parametric design of gear, Observed by using the software of finite element analysis of gear of the inherent frequency and vibration mode and torsion and vibration analysis was carried out on the gear.In practical application, the center of mass of non-circular gear deviation will produce centrifugal force, resulting in a dynamic unbalance, In order to further improve the application of non-circular gear; I analyze dynamic unbalance and optimization of non-circular gears by using Adams software.
