At present, China is in a stable period of highway asphalt pavement construction, high-quality pavement materials is necessary for the development, to a certain extent,because composite additive modified asphalt concrete have excellent performance and meet the high performance road use requires.The paper developed three composite additives independently, then application of image processing software to research the mixing temperature and dry mixing time to the effect of the polymer compound additives and the aggregate.The results show that, in the dry mix process, the compound additives is pre-modification on the aggregates in the condition of heat and mechanical energy. The composite additives can be uniformly dispersed in the hot aggregates without increase-site mixing plant mixing time.In different mixing time, the compound additive aggregate coverage is different and different additives have the different morphological changes.The paper carried out the needles test,cone penetration test and the DSR creep test for composite additives modified asphalt cement.Analysis the difference performance between the three composite additive material asphalt cement, based on the improvement of cone penetration, the paper give the new methods of modified bitumen rheological properties of the composite additive evaluation. Studies have shown that the compound additives can not only reduce the total deformation of the loading process, but also improve the total deformation in the elastic deformation and recoverability of elastic deformation component.Again, the paper using the proposed design method which based on the asphalt adhesive film thickness to determine the asphalt mixture’s OAC with the AC-13 C and AC-20 C, analysis the additive dose and additive type’s effect for Marshall Volume Index. Studies have shown that the compound additives change the internal structure of asphalt mixture composition, especially changes in the volume parameters of VMA, resulting in asphalt adhesive film thickness change. The volume index was established nomogram and the preparation of asphalt adhesive film thickness calculation procedure in paper. Rutting test and shear test results showed that the mixing compound additives can significantly improve the resistance to deformation of Asphalt Mixtures, low-temperature bending test, Marshall soaking stability, freezing and thawing, splitting and splitting test results based on the freezing and thawing action of water erosionthe additive content show that can effectively improve the low temperature of the mixture of anti-cracking and resistance to water damage; aging test results show that different compound additives to improve aging effect.Combination of asphalt pavement climate zones, comprehensive performance improvement and economic factors, give the additives optimal dosage range and additive type recommend.Finally, the paper was established analysis model based on the optimal performance of modified asphalt concrete and economic benefits. Relying on the paving of the test section, summarizes the practical engineering application of the composite additive type and content optimization, construction techniques and control measures.
