According to China’s energy distribution and load consumption regional distribution characteristics, smart grid construction is adapted to China’s current and future social development of the power grid development. Smart grid shows a strong adaptability for all kinds of energy into the grid, especially for large-scale wind power and solar power generation. The smart grid Construction in China has risen to the height of the national level. 3C green smart substation is one of the core platform for the realization of energy conversion and control in smart grid and the most important foundation and support point of the smart grid, the development and operation management level of it will directly affect the construction of smart grid in China. So construction of 3C smart substation has important significance.This paper was based on Zhuhai 220 kV Qinyun digital substation engineering construction instance, which is the first substation of intelligent, efficient, reliable 3C Green Grid of demonstration project of China southern Power Grid.The main work of this paper is as follows:1. The definition and characteristics of smart substation technology were researched, a survey of 220 kV Qinyun smart substation was given.2. Qinyun 220 k V substation smart system architecture was analyzed, including the substation network system and process-level structure which conclude 220 kV and 20 kV voltage level.3. Equipment intelligent diagnosis and early warning technology is studied, including the technology of online diagnosis of multi-source data, transformer intelligent diagnosis, GIS intelligent diagnosis, lightning arrester and casing diagnosis 20 kV equipment integrated diagnostics, infrared diagnosis, harmonic source diagnosis, Intelligent alarm and auxiliary decision-making,The docking technology of dispatch and IEC61850 substation model was studied.4. Intelligent operation and monitoring technology wass studied, including intelligent operation monitoring technology and integrated inspection.5. Substation green operation technology was studied, including photovoltaic power generation system, green building technology, green lighting.
