A Research On The Generatiing Method Of Design Concept Of Concept Car Based On TRIZ Theory

The design of product concept is the most incipient and most creative stage in design activities, forward-looking design concepts not only make the design work simple and efficient, but can open up new design direction. Due to the current lack of research on the method of generating design concepts, therefore, the paper, in accordance with the idea of finding problems, analyzing problems and solving problems, studies the generation methods of design concepts.The paper is based on the TRIZ theory and the "three levels", which were proposed by Donald Arthur Norman, that human brain processing information. Firstly, the paper elaborated research background, purpose, content, methods and research status at home and abroad, and discusses the design concept, the concept car design and TRIZ theory, then analyze the related knowledge of concept car design and the applicability of the TRIZ theory in the field of concept car design.Secondly, the 120 concept cars were divided into three parts, which were the innovation of appearance, the innovation of function and the innovation of emotion, based on the mapping relationships between the "three levels" and innovation ways, extracted the attributes knowledge of concept cars and set up a framework by case study and experimental method, and then extracted the grammatical knowledge of concept cars based on the 40 inventive principles of TRIZ theory.Finally, the generation methods of design concepts are concluded by analyzing the attributes knowledge and grammatical knowledge of concept cars, and the design concept knowledge system of concept cars is established by the Java programming language which is object oriented, also, take the 6th China Automotive Model Design Competition as an example, the design concepts were generated from three horizontal dimension and three vertical dimension based on the generation methods and then the design concepts were materialized.The research methods and conclusions of the paper, hope to have certain guiding and some inspiration for the generate and research of design concept.
