UV radiation is one of the important factors that cause the aging of asphalt concrete pavement in the process of using,especially in strong ultraviolet radiation of northwest region in our country,and the aging phenomenon of asphalt concrete pavement getting more and more serious course of the strong ultraviolet radiation.How to take the reasonable and effective measures to control UV aging of asphalt concrete pavement is a key problem which needed to solve urgently.To solve this problem,this paper carried out the study of anti-aging UV gradation optimization design.First,this paper made a brief analysis of ultraviolet aging mechanism of asphalt concrete pavement, determined the needed time and radiation intensity for the uv radiation aging test indoor,it laid the foundation for the subsequent UV aging tests indoor.Then design the test according to five factors with five levels and the orthogonal method,select four crucial sieves of 9.5mm, 4.75 mm, 2.36 mm, 0.075 mm and the aggregate ratio as the influencing factors,the Marshall test of SBS I-C modified asphalt and AC-13 mixture were studied.Finally,system analysis of test results is performed by the method of range analysis,the influence rule of AC-13 asphalt volume parameters and physical mechanical properties of each of these factors were acquired,the effect sorting of AC- 13 asphalt mixture of each key sieve and asphalt ratios were defined,the optimization gradation optimization of SBS I-C modified asphalt AC-13 mixture which suitable for strong ultraviolet radiation area were advanced.Choose the four key sieve of 13.2mm, 9.5mm, 4.75 mm, 2.36 mm and the asphalt aggregate ratio as the influencing factors by using the orthogonal experimental designmethod, and carried out the Marshall test of AC-16 asphalt mixture,the influence of each factor on the volume parameters and physical mechanical properties of AC-16 asphalt mixture was analyzed by range analysis method.The influence rank of AC- 13 asphalt mixture of each key sieve and asphalt ratios were defined,the optimization gradation range of SBS I-C modified asphalt AC-13 mixture which suitable for strong ultraviolet radiation area were advanced and the optimal combination of the parameters is obtained,the gradation optimization range of I-C SBS modified asphalt AC-16 mixture which suitable for strong ultraviolet radiation area were put forwarded.Within the range of optimized gradation of AC-13 and AC-16,5 types of S grading were designed respectively by controlling the pass rates of key sieve of 13.2mm,9.5mm, 4.75 mm, 2.36 mm, 0.075 mm, etc.And the S type gradation is verified by the anti UV aging property and the high and low temperature performance.In the end, the target gradation which has strong anti UV performance and high temperature performance is optimized.The theoretical basis is provided for the optimum design of asphalt concrete pavement in the areas with strong ultraviolet radiation.This paper makes a systematic research from the aspect of gradation design optimization, asphalt mix design method and gradation range optimization, which promoted the study and development of anti-ultraviolet aging of asphalt concrete pavement in our country.
