Environmental conflicts caused by global climate change, the city continues to highlight the environmental problems in China’s rapid urbanization is facing increasingly prominent. Urban heat island, such as frequent fog and haze negative impact on a series of urban climate deteriorated and the human pursuit of healthy and comfortable outdoor environment contradiction between the increasingly prominent, which is reflected in the city is more prominent local microclimate, Under the background of climate urban local micro-climate issues are closely related to people also particularly prominent. Currently study based on solar radiation climate perspective more focused on green building design, in recent years the solar radiation on the underlying surface of the outdoor space has become a hot topic, but the absence of urban climate in Xi’an solar radiation under space for outdoor activities microclimate analysis. As a direct way landscape elements affect the micro-climate interactions formed bioclimatic field, wherein the energy flow process affect the precincts microclimate, solar radiation as the main energy source bioclimatic field is highly variable energy balancing factor, it often dominates the energy balance. From the perspective of solar radiation Xi’an city squares and streets to improve the microclimate analyzed Xi’an outdoor space comfortable microclimate has positive significance.Basic research include: basic concepts of research, microclimate climate adaptive design, human comfort microclimate research, research progress microclimate from the perspective of solar radiation.Mechanisms include: study of the solar envelope mechanism suitable for urban plaza streets, latent heat applied to the City Square sensible partitioning scheme research, field research mechanism air heating effect applied to city streets.experiments designed to test square and street.
