Faced with a huge number of evacuation, a single stairway evacuation has failed to meet high-rise building. According afterwards investigating some high-rise building fire found that fire since the beginning of the building most of the fires were not lift against its use full-featured operating properly, this security high-rise building fire evacuation when there is great potential value.This article first high-rise building fire hazard and fire smoke characteristics were analyzed, combined with performance-based method for safe evacuation design of the elevator used by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages to evacuate, look for the safe evacuation of the best way to evacuate. Its design features combined with evacuation facilities within the high-rise building, we use statistical analysis methods for different types of people use the elevators in high-rise building evacuation fire attitude analyze, summarize the personnel elevator in case of fire attitude and influencing factors analysis showed that 83.7% of people are willing to use elevators in high-rise building fire, where firefighters guidance, personnel location and height of the main factors that influence people’s attitudes.Finally, an engineering example analysis, developed a detailed evacuation plan and the use of evacuation software Pathfinder simulation, analysis and simulation results showed that the use of the main evacuation elevator assisted evacuation of more than just the stairs to evacuate used to evacuate a short time 65 min, the evacuation efficiency of 41.6% when each of the vertical partition while using the elevator evacuation times assisted evacuation is to reach the evacuation efficiency refuge platform increased by 50 to 65%.
