In recent years, people’s living standards increasing quickly, the car has become part of people’s pursuit of quality of life, it leads to rapid growth of cars, and it also becomes an important factor of environmental pollution. If go on like this, the environment will be damaged; it also brings the problems such as energy shortage. Therefore, the development of electric vehicles has become the focus of attention; it also becomes the motivation of the research in the future. But as a result of the electric car research is not mature, especially the influence of the power battery for electric vehicles, so the purpose of this study is under the same battery, how to select the related parts rationally, that make the vehicle matching parameters achieve optimally, so that the vehicle can achieve the best performance.According to the related basic parameters and performance parameters of a certain two gear ratio electric car, first of all, the paper has analysis the characteristics of the main components of the vehicle power transmission system and design their related parameter,mainly including the selection and design of motor and battery, and the different transmission ratio effects on the vehicle, etc. Secondly, simply introduced the control strategy of electric vehicle and brake energy recovery effect on the performance of the vehicle, and make the control flow chart when the vehicle under the start and normal working state, in this way to improve the vehicle performance as much as possible. Then according to the design parameters of the parts and the selection of transmission system, it selects the ADVISOR simulation software to complete the electric car simulation of vehicle performance under the selected condition in this paper, and validate the simulation results whether or not conformed to the already set performance parameters. Finally, on the basis of the electric vehicle dynamic goals, to optimize the transmission ratio from the aspects of energy, and then contrast to the vehicle performance, summed up that the optimized vehicle dynamic and economy is improved than before optimization.
