The mobility of vehicle-borne radar is increasingly required in the modern warfare, and the leveling of radar seat car platform is a major factor affecting its mobility. When the whole system starts to work, the radar antenna who does beam scanning needs a starting position. The effects of leveling process are fixing the starting position as well as ensuring the stability of the entire system to make the measuring accuracy accurate and reliable. When the radar system is ready to work, the leveling time of platform accounts for more than a third in the system, thus shorten the leveling time becomes an important means to improve the accuracy of the whole system and improve its mobility. In addition, setting up of antenna also affects the stability of the entire system. Select an appropriate antenna structure and design its lift system is another way to improve the system’s performance and flexibility.Firstly, starting with radar leveling system and lift system, it makes a in-depth analysis on situation of domestic and foreign research about leveling and lifting systems, and points out the background and significance of the system design in this paper. Then it makes a static analysis on the vehicle platform model. Also, it analyzes several leveling methods and compares them, obtaining a leveling strategy which combines position error and angle error leveling method. For lifting system, it is mainly related to the structural design, selecting the lifting structure and analyzing its synchronization problems. Then according to its leveling and erection requirements, it selects general design based on the embedded systems.Finally, to study the vehicle-borne radar hydraulic system, it uses AEMSim software to build a model of the platform leveling hydraulic system and sets its main parameters to get the dynamics simulation analysis results. From the result, it can guarantee response speed and stability of the leveling system. At the same time it designs a structure of the lifting system, which consists of multiple hydraulic cylinders and sleeves. By verifying its properties,it gets the system’s main design parameters. Finally, it uses the AMESim establish a synchronous control system and gets a good response.For embedded control systems, it builds embedded development platform for Linux system migration, and designs the interface of the handheld terminal based on Qt.The design of the whole system can provide some reference and practical significance for the design and performance optimization of the vehicle-borne radar systems.
