In modern warfare, the mobility of radar is one of the effective ways to improve the survivability. In the future, under high-tech conditions, especially local wars are on increasing high demand of the mobility of radar. Highly mobile ground radar provides information to the command of ground forces and to air alert. In a fast-changing modern warfare, high mobility of radars is the key to preserve the radar and win the war.Based on the requirements of a mobile vehicular radar, the automatic leveling system and lifting system are analyzed and researched. On the basis of the development of high mobility radar research at home and abroad, the key technologies of the automatic leveling system and lifting system are analyzed. And in accordance with the key technologies, this paper puts forward the technical route and the overall program of the system. Specific details are as follows:In the automatic leveling system, the leveling process is discussed and modeled. And a detailed program of leveling is proposed, including the leveling method and the leveling process. A hydraulic system of leveling has also been designed, including hydraulic circuits and the main hydraulic components. The united simulation is introduced to study and analyze the leveling strategy. Through simulation, the electro-hydraulic leveling system meets the design requirements. The method, process and control principles of leveling which have been used can be applied to other equipment of leveling. It's worth applying in other fields. By the comparison of the typical structures with typical drive modes, and the combined use of actual project requirements, the lift system has been identified. According to the system, the structure of the multiple hydraulic cylinders and the multiple sleeves are designed and the parameters such as pressure, diameter of piston rod, multiplicity and other technical parameters are also given. Structure simulation and stress analysis of the multiple sleeves are carried out by using finite element method. With the comparison and analysis of the results of simulation, the feasibility and advantages of the project are validated. In this paper the technical foundation is made for the later research of automatic leveling and lifting system of vehicular radars.
