With the rapid development of the packaging industry, the automation level of packaging machine increasingly day by day. The VVFS packaging machine has been widely used, and the forming collar as a key component of the VVFS packaging machine,it has becoming a limiting factor in packaging production efficiency and quality. The shape of the shoulder is too complex and there is no single standard mathematical model exist.And its processing technology mainly by sheet metal welding. But so far it cannot meet the current market demand.Therefore, for the above-mentioned problems, the present subject to mid-sealing forming collar as the research object, mainly to build the mathematical models, several aspects of 3d modeling, manufacturing processes were studied. Specifics are as follows:(1) In accordance with the traditional mathematical model of mid-sealing forming collar, derive the mathematical relationship between the height and the back angle, based on CAD platform for bending curve and shoulder surface parametric modeling.(2) Both the conical and cylinder are developable surfaces, in this paper, firstly present based on spatial geometry to build the mid-sealing forming collar mathematical model,solving the bending curves, building the cylinder section 3D model of mid-sealing forming collar.(3) As the traditional manufacturing process is too difficult, costly and difficult to clamp and other issues, so considering these issues,this paper first proposed the 3D printing technology to manufacture the mid-sealing forming collar, and put it into an experimental study.The mid-sealing forming collar mathematical model and the processing, simplifying the complexity of the shoulders and expand the 3D printing technology in the field of engineering, which makes a certain theoretical significance and engineering value.
