Line loss accounts for the vast majority of the operating loss of power grid enterprises, line loss rate is a comprehensive core economic technical index of the power grid enterprises, strengthening the line loss calculation and management is a long-term strategic task and system engineering of power grid enterprises. The Power Grid Corp begins to carry out line loss assessment and loss rate analysis according to the influencing factors of line loss rate.With the power grid enterprises’ consciousness of improving energy efficiency and energy saving increasing, and also with the requirement of line loss management increasing, traditional line loss management method is lack of vitality, previous lowing line loss rate target management has gradually started to affect the enthusiasm of all front-line units, and there also are negative emotions in the employees. Grasping the actual situation of the regional power grid, calculation, analysis and evaluation of regional power network line loss and formulating a scientific, fair and reasonable loss rate index for subordinate enterprises is the primary task of line loss management for power grid enterprises. Issuing a reasonable regional power network line loss plays a very important role in energy-saving emission reduction work and economic efficiency improving for power grid enterprises.Firstly, this paper summarizes of power loss status, analyse the favorable conditions and unfavorable conditions for power grid in saving energy and reducing loss and points out the problem of the saving energy and reducing loss.Secondly, this paper determines the main factors related to main power supply networks’ line loss rate are power supply, power factor and shape factor through the method of establishing mathematic model of the power loss, and establishes the main power supply networks’ line loss rate prediction model by the least squares method, and predicts the main power supply networks’ line loss rate.Thirdly, this paper establishes line loss mathematic model and transformer loss mathematic model of high voltage and line loss mathematic model and transformer loss mathematic model of medium voltage considering the difference measurement automation level between high voltage and medium voltage, and calculates the line loss and transformer loss respectively by using of the models.Lastly, this paper gives the corresponding energy-saving reduction measures of line loss considering the existing problem in energy-saving of regional power grid and regional power grid’s main power supply networks’ and distribution networks’ calculation line loss rate index and the actual line loss rate.Throughout the text, this paper discusses and analyse the building process of main power upply networks’ prediction model and distribution networks’ line loss theoretical calculation model and regional power grid energy loss reduction work plan detailed and systematic. The formulatted method of regional power grid line loss pre-control index can be used in actual issue regional power grid line loss index process and the proposed regional power grid energy saving and loss reduction work planning has an important reference value for the regional power grid loss reduction and energy saving work.
