In the research process of image equipment, video source is needed to provide test signals to image equipment timely and effectively. The test signals are simulation of video signals, which image equipment received in actual use. For testing the image equipment whether meet the design requirements of each function. The output signals of video source need to be stable and reliable.Combining with the characteristics of image equipment, a design solution of camera simulation system is proposed, in which video signals are simulated and output to image equipment for testing. In the solution, the control core is the EP2CF672I8 of Altera, and the communication interface of PC and FPGA is USB2.0. The video signals are transmitted from PC to FPGA by the interface of USB2.0. Finally, the signals are archived in NAND FLASH. At the time of testing the image equipment, video signals are read from NAND FLASH and put out by the interfaces of Camera Link, LVDS and PAL. The design can shorten the debugging time of equipment and improve the efficiency of test.First, Introduce the key technologies of camera simulator and the design of hardware circuit. Then, analysis the layout of wiring and stickup design in PCB.Simulate the possible problems of signal integrity in the process of PCB wiring. Based on the results of the simulation, the corresponding solutions are proposed to ensure that the circuit board can work stably and reliably. Finally, analysis the program design in each module of the system, and shows the sequence diagram and flow chart.
