Research On Adaptive Landscape Design For The Elderly In Residential Compounds Of Beijing-tianjin-hebei Region

The policy of integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is an important guideline to exploit the urban morphology and optimize city functions. It is not only an unavoidable path to solve the “huge urban diseases” of Beijing, but also offers new opportunities and challenges to the balanced development of environment of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.The coordinated development of people, economy and environment during the process of urban transformation is the important embodiment of environment integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In the perspective of development of human beings, with China turning into an aging era and emergence of more and more resident compounds of aging people, the elderly will have higher demand for activity space and facilities in the residential compounds.With the research on the integration environmental elements of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration policy background, this paper exploits the positive guiding effects of polices on current residential communities; in the background of humanistic and geographic characteristics of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and adopting methods including surveys, interviews, on-the-spot investigations and quantitative analyses, this paper carries out on-the-spot investigation over regional residential compounds environment as well as physical, psychological and behavioral habits of the elderly through researches over the current environment of residential compounds in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and behavioral characteristics of the elders,and also conducts systematic analysis as well as scientific summary and extraction over the investigation data; puts forward major issues to be solved from the research result, and further promotes the research analysis over current situation onto the level of countermeasure study, summarizes the theoretical system over the adaptive landscape design for the elderly in residential compounds of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and at last tests and verifies the research result with program practices, to further enhance the guiding functions of the theoretical research.By transforming the adaptive subjects and adaptive relations between the elderly andthe residential space, the adaptive landscape design for the elderly in residential compounds of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region studies on influential factors that environment imposes on physical and mental changes of the elderly and aims to solve landscape adaptive problems in residential space for the elderly care at home. Meeting the demand of the elderly for outdoor activity space, it constructs outer space of residential compounds with health care functions, infrastructures for the elderly and barrier-free design, and further builds adaptive landscape for the elderly in residential compounds with regional features of cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
