Along with the modern electric power equipment for power supply continuity and reliability of the demand is higher and higher, people also pay more attention to the requirement of standby power. Diesel generators as the main standby power supply in modern power, have been paid more and more attention. Diesel generator has been widely attention, and the controller has been into the attention to the line of sight for that people have higher requirement for its control. But now, the controller existing in the market gradually can not meet the requirement of the higher control with the poor flexibility that can’t change the unit number as the load automatically switching and can not quick to react to the change of the power grid and load. We will design a new portable, flexibility strong parallel controller on the basis of existing diesel generator controller. The controller will improve the control precision of the diesel generator and increase its intelligent monitoring, and other functions with the improvement of its hardware and software aspects.This paper introduces the composition of diesel generator and Each module of physical quantities. According to the composition of diesel engine and referring to the quantities of each module, we construct a mathematic model of the diesel engine. According to the requirement of the synchronous generator excitation system, we build phase compound excitation brushless excitation system. According to the diesel engine and the mathematical model of synchronous generator and diesel engine speed characteristics, we establish a no difference characteristics of diesel generator speed control system. On the speed control method with fuzzy PID algorithm to replace the traditional PID algorithm, the method has better regulating performance and faster power adjustment in the case of sudden loading or unloading situation.Setting up the simulation model of diesel generator two parallel set control based on the differential of diesel generator speed and the use of the Stateflow module under the MATLAB. Fully simulated the process of real diesel generator and the problem possible happened, the start of double set at the same time, the common loading, achieve the average power allocation. It will automatically reduce the amount of unit, when the controller simulation model show that it is reducing the loading according to the detected data. When the power is on, the grid and diesel generator will automatically interconnect, stop its service, etc.According to the simulation model and the simulation results of parallel operation in Matlab software,building the hardware experiment platform of the diesel generator parallel controller in the lab with the DC motor replace the diesel engine. Based on the experimental platform, using TMS320F28335 as the CPU, connecting peripheral power conversion circuit, sampling circuit, communication circuit, display and execution of the action circuit to complete the hardware design of the controller. In the experiment verify the reliability of the controller hardware platform. Designing the diesel generator actuators with AT89S52 to realize the control of diesel engine speed and voltage.Complete the controller software under the software platform CCS3.3, including the capture program, power quality chip calibration and data read program, CAN bus communication program, display program, action, etc. Combined with laboratory hardware platform and the design of unit controller, to achieve its start-stop, interconnection, weaver, display, communication, etc. Writing the software of AT98S52 on keil3 to control the voltage and speed of diesel generator.To design the controller of single field debugging and achieve the basic parameters acquisition, display unit and the state to determine.
