The armored tracked vehicle for paratrooper is the research object of this paper. During buffering while landing, the vehicle will suffer a large impact load. Strong impact load will have a bad effect on the safety of equipment and goods in the vehicle. If that happened, the armored tracked vehicle might not have a good performance in the fight. On the other hand, when off road, the vehicle may experience impact-situation as well, such as driving on tough road or running onto a slope. Based on multi-body dynamics and other methods, whole-vehicle model and buffering of airdrop model were built. Combined buffering of airdrop and impact condition off road, the dynamic performance of the vehicle and transmission was researched. Main research contents and results, as follows:1. 21-DOF model including power-transmission system of the tracked vehicle with 6 pairs of wheels was built based on multi-body dynamics. And simulate with Matlab by writing codes based on fourth order Runge-Kutta method.2. Combined with simplified slope model and whole-vehicle model, rules of impact response of the tracked vehicle and suspension breakdown running onto a slope with different vehicle-slope angle was obtained.3. Using thermodynamic method, buffering of single airbag model was obtained. After that, buffering model of the vehicle during landing was built by tie airbag model, soil model and whole vehicle model together. Using this model, the buffering process was simulated and the dynamic response of the vehicle and airbag was obtained.4. The influences of different effect factors on buffering was studied, including: size of the airbag(height, area of vent), eccentricity of the center of mass, leaking, terrain.5. Analysis of structure and dynamic response of transmission under impact was completed by using Abaqus and experiments.
