Pieces of string structure system as a part of the large span spatial structure system, was widely used in sports venues, convention and exhibition facilities, transportation hub, and other important projects. The idea using High performance CFRP materials to substitute for the traditional cable Appling in suspen-dome structure is proposed in this paper. CFRP which has good corrosion resistance, low density and high performance is a particularly important new material in civil engineering is widely used in various fields. In order to study the application of CFRP material in the structure of suspen-dome, analysis using software and test were presented in the article. The main research contents are as follows:1、Loading test in elastic range and analysis using the finite element software about the suspen-dome structure were done in this paper. By combining experimental data and theoretical data obtained the feasibility and superiority of the suspen-dome structure applied CFRP cables when the node is equivalent to a load of 200 N. We also observed that the error of obtained experimental value of the theoretical value within an acceptable range, thus verifying reasonableness and accuracy of the structure using ANSYS finite element analysis.2、By comparing the stress of rod、radial displacement of joints、vertical displacement of joint and stress of the cable of the cable suspen-dome with that of CFRP suspen-dome, we obtained mechanics performance of suspen-dome structure mechanics performance and the superiority of CFRP cable suspen-dome structure.3、By analyzing Eigenvalue buckling analysis and Nonlinear buckling analysis we know that the Eigenvalues of CFRP structure are higher than structure of cable.Through the results of nonlinear analysis we know that the impact of the Ultimate bearing capacity material of cable is not obvious.The research achievements of this paper were summarized finally, string the Suspen-dome structure remains to be further research in the future was put forward the relevant problems and prospected.
