Research For The Historical Architectual Remains In The Middle Of West Yuhua Road Of Baoding

As the historical and cultural city of China, Bao ding has a galaxy of cultural relics and historic sites. The research object for this paper is the historical architectual remains in Yuhua Road of the centre of Bao ding, that is to say,The ancient lotus pond garden, The Zhilii Governor’s offifce Baoding and The Saint Peter Saint Paul church.These three different styles of historical architectual remains concentrates in the middle of Yuhua West Road with the “Triangle” layout.The ancient lotus pond garden is one of the eight sights of Baoding, which named “lian yi xia yan”.The garden has a long history. With the Garden, Palace, Academy all in one, it is the national historical sites for protection,which is one of the top ten famous garden of the country. The Zhilii Governor’s offifce Baoding named“A Governor’s Mansion, half history of qing dynasty illustrate”. since it wasbuilt in 1792, it survived seismic change and eroded by wind and rain,Although it has repaired and local adjustment, The overall layout does not change, it still preserves the original building style and landscape.It’s the only remaining government office of fairly complete in the Qing dynasty. The Saint Peter and Saint Paul church was built by French missionaries in 1901, it is the first intact catholic church of Baoding city. As the historical impression of blending and colliding of the modern oriental and occidental cultures in Baoding, it sheds The French Style of the Late Roman.In this paper, based on the mapping and analysis, background to the construction, architectural form, spatial component and architectural decoration of the three historical architectual remains in the middle of Yuhua West Road of Baoding are researched.
