with the rapidly development of Chinese urbanipation process, the lack of cultural identity of the city led to the city’s cultural character and cultural ecology is gradually digested,the solutions and models of historical protection are meeting the new challenge.how to make it can be doing by a sustainable solution of overall protection and does not been seen as a "stumbling block" of modern city’s development,Become a research topic of domestic and foreign scholars and experts in a new field.This paper is going to use the historic district at Hanjiang city as an example,and combined with the demand of city, to explore the organic updating solution.In this paper, based on the theory of cultural ecology, new humanism theory and organic renewal theory, and according to the plan on the history district of Luomutian, in order to achieve:(1) Through planning the inherit of history and culture of Luomutian, to learn the essence of the heritage from the historical development. As the same time as reviving the traditional culture and history of Luomutian, reproducing the prosperity picture of Luomutian from 19th century; (2) Under making the organic-multicultural-updating model of the Luomutian’s historical and cultural protection, to reach the aim that traditional culture’s reviver and modern society development can be done together, which to reproduce the historic district. (3) On the basis of protection and renewal, considering from the overall view of the historical and cultural district, and under the premise of reduction in history, to balance the development of historical and cultural district in all aspects; (4) To explore a flexible and suitable solution of protecting the historic district under the protecting plan. And achieves the multicultural balance in the aspects of inheriting the culture, improving the ecological environment, protecting people’s production, and developing with the times.Using the example, and according to the plan on the land layout, zoning, cultural landscape and facilities, proposing the design thinking called "building one, two belts, multi-node active historic district". Stressing the historical meaning of "one" in the "active inherit", which also to be the core of protecting Luomutian’s plan. Avoiding the partial and scattered, isolated problem from incremental reforms of small areas.There are "two zones" in historic district, one is real and viable traditional commercial walking zone, which not only avoids static protection model, but also renews the Luomutian’s traditional culture in a organic method. To close to modern life, and developing both together. The other one called "River Landscape slow zone". With the Gongkou river basin planning and designing, which aims to protect the special river system of Luomutian, keeping and improving the traditional style of waterfront environment. And being the place for people’s leisure activities. What’s more, "Multi-Node" arrangement not only can increase Luomutian green area, but also can bring green environments to everyone. Through a decentralized multi-node design, not only builds more platforms for people social works, also improves the ecological environment of Luomutian, and contributes a suitable living environment for people who lives in the historic district of Luomutian.This paper is going to use the historic district at Hanjiang city Luomutian area as an example.Combining the researching and planning, and the theory and practical works.
