Vibratory Roller requires not only an excellent performance, but also a high operational reliability and operating comfort. Vibratory roller vibration system not only ensure the comfort of the machine, also affects the operational performance and dynamic characteristics. Although China vibratory roller manufacturers began to focus on the influence of dampening system to vibration roller’s performance, but has not yet formed a complete set of mature theory system. So the domestic design and manufacture of vibratory roller is still far less than developed country’s roller on the machine performance.From the vibrating roller damping theory, this paper has studied the composition of the damping system, the stress state and material properties and evaluation, calculated the damping coefficient of dynamic stiffness of the support system, discussed the method to improve damper reliability and service life.Vibratory roller in addition to the vertical vibration, but also has the polarization phenomenon. Polarization will not only reduce the compaction quality, will also affect driving comfort and stability. So build a dynamic model of vibratory roller polarization and find the solution, analyze the influence factors, get the response curve, then put forward the solving measures.Because of the vibratory roller compaction materials and technology gradually diversification, rubber shock absorber is difficult to meet all kinds of situation, and damping effect is not very desirable, especially for the bridge resonance cannot effective attenuation. So improve the cab and frame suspension damping of the secondary vibration, design the damping control of ER damper instead of the traditional rubber shock absorber, and analyze the changes of the damping force.To further analysis the damping system of single drum vibratory roller, take domestic experiment prototype as the archetype, using PRO/E, ADAMS, ANSYS established a single drum vibratory roller—rubber floor virtual prototype model. And use the model to simulate different locations and roller frame cab vibration acceleration in each direction, lay a foundation for further optimization analysis.Finally, factors affecting single drum vibratory roller damping properties are summarized, and on this basis draw optimization of the virtual prototype damping system. Using virtual prototype simulation analysis and the results prove the rationality and correctness of the contents of optimization studies to further improve the damping properties of the vibrating roller to provide a theoretical guidance and practical value.
