In order to make the disability people have chance to drive long distances independently and enjoy the convenience of vehicle like normal people, this paper making resulting the driving problem of the disability people as main direction, designs and develops the intelligent wheelchair integrated with driving seat. As an assistant appliance of vehicle, the wheelchair result the problem that the disability people have to move out from their wheelchair when they have to drive, satisfy the essential demand of driving of the disable. The main research harvests are as follows:This paper considered the demand of the disabled independent driving travel, focused on the small size of driving cab and basic demand of body posture of driving, determined the function requirements of the wheelchair, put forward the overall design scheme of the intelligent wheelchair, completed the synthesis of mechanism of each part, used the method of closed vector for kinematic analysis, and determined the position relationship of each component. So each part of mechanism can coordinate regulation.This paper completed the structure design of the intelligent wheelchair, combining the relevant provisions of China on the size of the intelligent wheelchair and the dimension of the human model. Through the analysis of the overall size and the structure of wheelchair, author built the virtual model of each component of the integration wheelchair and through SolidWorks and tested the interference of the assembled virtual machine. Finally, the structure of the intelligent wheelchair is reasonable.Through importing the human body model whose dimension is corrected to the ergonomics module of CATIA, author tested the rationality and comfort of the wheelchair. Through setting the joint angle of the human body model for comfort, author detected that the wheelchair and the human model did not interfere. Finally, author comes to conclusion that the wheelchair meets the requirement for comfort.This paper analyzed the working conditions of the intelligent wheelchair and determined the load situation of each working condition of wheelchair. Then, author analyzed and simulated the stress situation of the wheelchair’s main stress parts(front wheel bracket and the rear bracket) in different working conditions. The results showed that, no matter what working condition, the mechanical properties of the key components of the wheelchair come to the requirement.Theoretical calculation and simulation test show that this kind of design can well meet the requirements on body size and in the specific environments. And the structure can well fill the trip requirement for the disabled. The design theory and method in this paper have significance and reference value for other structure design of wheelchair.
