| The variant design of existing products accounts for a considerable proportion the process of new product design. Therefore, the reuse of existing design solutions is a necessary and pragmatic choice. Parametric design technology is an effective mean to reuse knowledge. However, the current design technology has been unable to meet the needs of product-level parametric rapid design, influencing the application in engineering practice greatly.This paper proposes a product-level parametric management and rapid design method based on the idea of holographic modeling, introducing the related design ideas and key technologies in detail, and the instance validation system is set up for compensator products. The mainly research work and results of this paper has such following aspects:(1) The structure and function module of the system are established, analyzing the workflow and dataflow, and all the key technologies involved are researched.(2) A mechanism to manage the parametric-based model is set up, and then the dimension management technology is put forward with analyzing the data structure of the base model, meanwhile, the dimension expression, classification, nomenclature and management rules are given. What’s more, the method to manage the information of the model is studied.(3) The rapid design method based on parametric-based model is studied, the rapid design principle of the 3D model is described, and the corresponding depth traversal of dimension process is given. A mechanism to product cost estimation based on configuration is put forward, analyzing the factors affect the cost and studying the detailed cost estimation method as well as the rapid cost estimation method. Moreover, a mechanism to design the drawing rapidly is put forward and the related technologies are studied.(4) The parametric design system for compensator product is developed, all the mechanisms and key technologies involved in this paper are verified by an application. |
