| From 2013 to 2015, I am pleasure to be a major electrical designer participating in the project of liouesso hydropower plant design. In the process of design, in accordance with the requirements of the Congo government, combining with the local special circumstances, I presided over the preparation of the "isolated grid operation of the special report of liouesso hydropower station". The main structure of this paper is based on this report.The isolated network is the abbreviation of an isolated power network.This paper first introduces the significance and research statuses about how to ensure safe and stable operation of isolated grid. This paper then combines with the status of the power grid of the Republic of Congo and power load analysis, according to the special status and liouesso hydropower plant, discussing about the feasibility of isolated network operation.This paper analyzes the characteristics of Congo grid, explains process about how liouesso hydropower plant isolated network connect with power generation, lists the operation requirements and reviews the starting condition, including starting calculation and self excitation oscillation judgment,then lists on isolated conditions, the stable operation of the unit should meet several conditions, including power balance calculation, accident power safety operation analysis method etc. finally, it points out that the requirements under isolated conditions and various electrical and mechanical equipments configuration and operation strategies,the analysis is focused on the analysis of water turbine generator, excitation system, speed regulator, monitoring and protecting equipment.Finally, this paper points out that through the above analysis and operation strategy, conditions and liouesso hydropower station can ensure the security and stability of operation during the isolated network operation. |
